SAFETY INTRODUCTION

1. This appliance can be used by children aged 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children must never play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance must never be carried out by children without supervision.
2. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
3. Keep the appliance and the cable cord out of the reach of children less than 8 years old.
4. WARNING: To ensure your children‘s safety, please keep all packaging (plastic bags, boxes, polystyrene, etc.) out of their reach.
5. If the supply cord is damaged it must be repaired by the Authorized Service Agent.
6. Never pull on the cord when unplugging.
7. Do not use the unit with a damaged cord or plug, or if it is not working properly.
8. Do not handle the appliance with wet hands.
9. Never immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid.
10. Make sure the appliance has been unplugged before cleaning.

How to Use

1. Select an attachment that best fits your personal grooming needs.
2. Place attachment atop Groomer’s Body. Secure by carefully inserting and turning the attachment in a clockwise direction (NOTE: attachment is secure when the arrow aligns with the circle).
3. To remove the attachment, follow Step 2 in reverse order.
4. Slide the ON/Off Switch upward to power the Personal Groomer.
5. To add, align the Comb side rails with the slots of the trimmer head. Secure the Comb by sliding it downward, away from the blade head. (NOTE: a clicking sound means the Comb attachment is secure and ready for use)

Grooming tips

HAIR

• Should be dry and free of lotions or other liquids.
• Comb outward with the accessories C, and with (F and E) to obtain maximum height/length and face in the same direction.

BEARD/MUSTACHE

• Use a small comb (D)(6mm) to straighten hairs for trimming.
• When trimming, first select Precision Trimmer Attachment. Starting under the chin, follow the jaw line back toward the ear. Trim in multiple directions to capture all stray hairs.
• When thinning or tapering, use a small comb to hold the beard in place. In the opposite hand, hold the Groomer with the cutting system facing outward while slowly moving the Trimmer along the length of the comb.

MICRO SHAVER

Use the Micro Shaver attachment to clean up detailed areas. For best results, avoid holding at an angle.

EARS:

• When trimming inner ears, avoid inserting the Grooming System (O) more than 1/4” into the ear canal.
• Rotate the Grooming System in a circular motion while gently moving in and out of the ear canal.

EYEBROWS:

• Guide cutting edges to stray hairs along eyebrows.
• For best results, do not use the grooming system to define the entire eyebrow.

NAPE OF NECK

• Using a hand-held mirror is necessary if self-trimming.
• Lift hair off the neck, using the index finger to cover & protect hairs NOT needing trimming.
• Carefully touch the cutting blade to the neck, slowly moving the groomer in an upward direction until stopped by the index finger.

NOTE:

• Carefully insert groomer no more than 1/4” into the nostril.
• Rotate the Grooming System in a circular motion while gently moving in and out of the nose.

CLEANING, CARE & MAINTENANCE

NOTE: Always clean the Grooming System attachments regularly to ensure the best performance and proper operating life.

CLEANING ATTACHMENTS WITH WATER

1. Remove attachment.
2. Rinse ONLY the attachment under warm running water. DO NOT use hot water as this might cause damage.

CLEANING ATTACHMENTS WITH BRUSH
After first removing the attachment, thoroughly brush and blow out hair clippings from the cutting system, attachment, and top of the power handle.

CLEANING FOIL SHAVER

1. Remove the attachment by pressing the security latches on the front of micro microshaver.
2. Remove the head, and shake to remove excess clippings.
3. Replace the attachment by gently snapping it into place.

OILING BLADES & CAUTIONS

• Rinsing attachments under water (above) requires lubricating the cutting blades 1× monthly. Using only light-grade oils (e.g. sewing machine oil), simply spread 1-2 drops lightly over cutters with a fingertip. Wipe away all excess.
• Use only light-grade oils as these will not evaporate nor slow down the speed of cutting blades.
• Do not use hair oil, grease, or any oil mixed with either kerosene or solvent as these too will evaporate.

Disposal of old electrical appliances

The European directive 2002/96/EC on Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE), requires that old household electrical appliances must not be disposed of in the normal unsorted municipal waste stream. Old appliances must be collected separately to optimize the recovery and recycling of the materials they contain and reduce the impact on human health and the environment. The crossed-out “wheeled bin” symbol on the product reminds you of your obligation, that when you dispose of the appliance, it must be separately collected. Consumers should contact their local authority or retailer for information concerning the correct disposal of their old appliance
