IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

DANGER

To reduce the risk of burns, electric shock, and fire, this product must be used by the following instructions:

  1. READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS.
  2. ALWAYS UNPLUG THE UNIT FROM THE ELECTRICAL OUTLET IMMEDIATELY AFTER USE.
  3. DO NOT USE WHILE SLEEPING. AVOID FALLING ASLEEP WHILE USING THE PRODUCT.
  4. DO NOT USE ON AN INFANT OR AN ANIMAL.
  5. THIS PAD IS NOT TO BE USED ON OR BY ANY INDIVIDUAL WITH CERTAIN DISABILITIES, SLEEPING OR UNCONSCIOUS PERSON, OR A PERSON WITH POOR BLOOD CIRCULATION UNLESS CAREFULLY ATTENDED.
  6. DO NOT USE ON AREAS OF INSENSITIVE SKIN.
  7. BURNS CAN OCCUR REGARDLESS OF THE CONTROL SETTING; CHECK THE SKIN UNDER THE PAD FREQUENTLY.
  8. NEVER USE PAD WITHOUT REMOVABLE COVER IN PLACE.
  9. DO NOT USE IN AREAS WHERE OXYGEN IS BEING ADMINISTERED.
  10. DO NOT USE PINS OR OTHER METALLIC MEANS TO FASTEN THIS PAD IN PLACE.
WARNING

The Conair Memory Foam Heating Pad is an electrical device. To avoid electric shock:

  1. Do not wash the unit with water. See Washing Instructions.
  2. Do not touch the plug or device with wet hands.
  3. Do not touch the unit to wet the skin.
  4. Do not pull, lift, or carry the unit by the power cord.
  5. Do not operate the unit in areas where flammable or combustible products or vapors may be present. Explosion or fire may occur.
  6. Do not allow children to use it – this is not a toy. Do not leave small children unattended close to the unit.
  7. Not to be used by disabled, sleeping, or unconscious persons.
Cautions
  • This heating pad should not be used in the following cases: If you have diabetes, tuberculosis, benign or malignant tumors, phlebitis and thrombosis, hemorrhages, inflammation of the skin, undetermined calf pain or joint pain, or if you have poor circulation. Consult a physician before using if you have any kind of fungal infection, swelling, fracture, or persistent pain.
  • Consult your physician should you have any therapeutic questions regarding the use of this heating pad.
  • Do not use on any unexplained pain, swollen muscles, or following a serious muscular injury before consulting your physician.
  • Keep away from children.
  • Discontinue use of the product if pain increases or swelling occurs after application.
  • Do not use it while bathing or showering. Use only in a dry area.
  • Consult your doctor before using in case of illness or medical condition, including but not limited to pacemaker use, pregnancy, or cancer.
  • If you experience pain in a muscle or joint for a prolonged period, discontinue use and consult your doctor. Persistent pain could be a symptom of a more serious condition.
  • Never use any heating products on open wounds, discolored areas, or any.

SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS USING THE HEATING PAD

Remove the contents from the box. Attach the AC power cable to the power jack on the heating pad. Plug the cable into a 110-120V AC wall outlet. Press the ON/OFF button on the controller to turn the heat on to Low. The LED indicator will display the current heat level. Continue to press the ON/OFF button to increase the heat level up to Medium and High. Press the ON/OFF button again back to the Low setting. To turn it off, press and hold the ON/OFF button until all lights turn off. For maximum benefit, use should not exceed 30 minutes at one time.

NOTE

The heat will automatically turn off after 1 hour and the green LED indicator will flash continuously. To reactivate the heating pad, press the ON/OFF button once. To turn off, press and hold the ON/OFF button. If the controller gets disconnected from the unit during use, you must unplug the cord from the outlet, reconnect the controller to the unit, and then plug the cord back into the outlet to resume use. If you do not unplug from the power outlet, the red LED indicator light will flash and the heating pad will not work properly.

WASHING INSTRUCTIONS

NEVER dry-clean or use bleach. Disconnect ALL CORDS before washing. NEVER submerge the cord or control unit. Place the textile portion without cords in the washing machine.

HAND-WASHING (Recommended)

Washing this item by hand will result in a much longer product life than using a machine. Disconnect all cord(s) and wash the textile separately by hand in lukewarm (100°F) water, using a small amount of mild laundry detergent. Soak for 5 minutes, then gently work the textile up and down for more than 5 minutes. NEVER rub or scrub the textile. Rinse thoroughly in cool water until all traces of detergent are gone. Squeeze excess water out by hand, NEVER twist. DO NOT use a wringer.

MACHINE WASHING INSTRUCTIONS

Wash by hand or as follows in an automatic washer using slow agitation and normal spin speed: Fill the washer with warm water. Add a minimum amount of all-purpose detergent, agitate to dissolve, and measure the heating pad before washing. Add a heating pad and soak for 5 minutes. Agitate for 2 minutes. Spin. Fill for cool rinse, agitate for 1 minute, then spin.

DRYING INSTRUCTIONS

NEVER use commercial dryers at the laundromat, as they may be extra hot and could damage the wiring of the product. DO NOT iron. DO NOT plug in until completely dry. To machine dry, place in automatic dryer on high heat for only 5 minutes then line dry (recommended). To completely dry, place the item in a dryer on low heat and allow it to tumble until dry. Ensure that the textile has enough room to tumble freely. If the product draws during washing, gently stretch it while it is still damp until it returns to its original size. DO NOT iron your heating pad. To line dry, simply drape the item over two parallel clotheslines or a shower rod. DO NOT reconnect the item until it is completely dry. DO NOT use clothespins, as they can pinch the wires.

STORAGE
Unplug and store this item as you would any other heating pad, folded, and in a dry place.

POLARIZED PLUG

This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other) as a safety feature. To reduce the risk of electric shock, this plug is intended to fit into a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully into the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to defeat this safety feature. If the plug fits loosely into the AC outlet or if the AC outlet feels warm, do not use that outlet. area of the body that is swollen, burned, bruised, inflamed, or where skin eruptions, ulcerated sores, or varicose veins are present.

HOW TO ASSEMBLE

To assemble the heating pad, insert the electrical cord into the connecting port on the side of the heating pad. If moist heat is desired, follow the instructions in the Moist Heat Treatment section.
