  1. Use this appliance only for its intended use as described in this manual. Do not use attachments not recommended by the manufacturer.
  2. Never operate this appliance if it has a damaged cord or plug, if it is not working properly, or if it has been dropped, damaged, or dropped into water. Return the appliance to a Conair service center for examination and repair.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). As a safety feature, this plug will fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to defeat this safety feature.

IMPORTANT

1875 WATT STYLING GUIDE

Use of this dryer on the same circuit or fuse with other electrical products or appliances may trip a 15 amp circuit breaker or blow a 15 amp fuse. NEVER replace the fuse with one rated higher than the capacity of the circuit. Doing so could result in an electrical fire.

CHECK ALCI SAFETY FEATURE EVERY TIME YOU USE APPLIANCES

make sure the ALCI is functioning properly, and perform the following test. The purpose of this test is to allow you to make sure the water-sensing system (ALCI) is working.

  1. Plug in the appliance and press the test button on the plug (See the appropriate diagram below).
  2. The appliance will stop working. There will be an audible click and a reset button will pop out.
  3. Then push the reset button in, and reinsert the plug into an outlet.CONAIR-1875-Watts-Turbo-Styler-fig2
  4. If ALCI is not functioning properly, return the appliance to the nearest service center.
  5. It is important that if immersion occurs, this unit be brought to a service center. Do not try to reset.
  6. Be sure to repeat the test every time you use the unit to confirm that ALCI is operational. Should the appliance go off and the reset button pops up during use, this could indicate a malfunction in the unit. Remove the plug from the outlet and allow the appliance to cool. Reinsert the plug into an outlet. The appliance should then function normally. If not, return to an authorized Conair Service Center for evaluation and repair.
SUPER STYLING GUIDE

Your best looks begin with a good haircut that’s well-maintained. Always treat hair right with superior-quality shampoos, conditioners, and finishing products

DRYING BASICS

  1. Shampoo and condition hair with products of your choice. Rinse thoroughly. Towel dry hair to remove excess moisture. Section hair.
  2. If you use the dryer with a styling brush (the professional way to style and dry at the same time), brush each strand from underneath as you direct hot air to the top of the strand, always moving slowly and steadily up and down each strand. This way, you’ll be aiming heat at your hair, not at your scalp. Snap on the concentrator attachment to direct the airflow for precise styling.
  3. For quick touch-ups between shampoos, mist hair to dampen it before styling with a dryer.
  4. When using your dryer to create curls and waves, dry hair almost completely on a low-temperature setting, then set your style by pressing the cool shot button. This will help reduce static and shine hair for a perfect finish. For curlier, wavier hair styles use the snap on/snap off diffuser attachment.

The Conair® 1875 Watt Styler is very effective, even at lower temperatures, and helps to give healthier-looking, shiny, more manageable hair with maximum styling control.

ONIC CONDITIONING natural ion output helps to control static electricity minimizing frizz, increasing shine, and making hair more manageable.

Concentrator attachment helps to precisely direct airflow for pinpoint styling. Diffuser attachment helps to create texture and waves in the hair.
CAUTION:

Always use a diffuser on low heat/ speed. NEVER USE HIGH HEAT SPEED/ SETTING when the Diffuser is fitted to the dryer, as this may lead to damage to the hair dryer and diffuser attachment due to abnormal heat build-up.

USER MAINTENANCE

Your dryer is virtually maintenance-free.  If overheating occurs, an automatic safety device will shut the dryer or the heat off to prevent damage or personal injury. If the unit or the heat cycles off, unplug the cord and allow the dryer to cool for 10 to 15 minutes before restarting. Make sure the air vents are clean.

CAUTION

NEVER allow the power supply cord to be pulled, twisted, or severely bent. Never wrap the cord tightly around the dryer. Damage will occur at the high flex point of entry into the dryer, causing it to rupture and short. Inspect the cord frequently for damage. Stop use immediately if the damage is visible or the unit stops or operates intermittently. Do not wrap the line cord around the dryer. Allow the cord to hang or lie loose and straight at the point of entry into the dryer.
